Great book. One of my favorite series in fact, but I would never recommend starting The Kingkiller Chronicle to anyone. Why not? Because Rothfuss will most likely never finish the third and final book, so you’ll be left hanging and waiting for a conclusion that will never come. 15 years since the second book was published and still the “Doors of Stone” is nowhere in sight.

I have a theory about the 3rd book. I think his father was the one writing the books, but he died before he could finish it. Now he doesn’t know how to continue the story.

Him and George. Whats up with not finishing up a series. Even if book 3 does come out. I don’t plan on reading it. I appreciate poorer quality authors more for at least finishing up the series.

Shame they forgot that authors write books! When they stop writing books they are no longer authors only has been ex-authors….

@sonicpanther I heard another one, about a friend of Rothfuss from college who wrote it and he apparently passed and Rothfuss thought he could pass it off as his own, but since he did not know how the story ended, the 3rd book never came as he could not think of a reasonable ending to the story….
