The Galactics arrived with their Battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined a vast Empire that spans the Milky Way. Our only worthwhile trade goods are our infamous mercenary legions, elite troops we sell to the highest alien bidder. In 2122 a lost colony expedition contacts Earth, surprising our government. Colonization is against Galactic Law, and Legion Varus is dispatched to the system to handle the situation. Earth gave them sealed orders, but Earth is 35 lightyears away.

Now, only if we could get Vaughn Heppner’s novel Planet Strike up in here.
I promise, to everyone that loves BV Larson as much as I do, you will love Vaughn Heppner as well. Well, you’ll love this series anyway, it’s the only novel I’ve read by him, the first novel is called Assault Troopers.
The writing is very similar to BV Larson, which is no surprise because they are good buddies, and BV Larson helped Vaughn a lot with his writing.

Some weird sounds creep up now and then from this audio. The quality is not much to cheer about either.

Ya, I agree, the audio could be better. If I might make a suggestion Coast… If you are ripping (converting) these yourself, you might try a slightly higher bit rate (i.e. 48k), some programs don’t compress to 32k very well. I use dBpoweramp to lower bitrates and it does 32k pretty well most times, but I still just go for 48k on ALL my conversions, just to be safe. I convert EVERYTHING I grab that is over 48k down to 48k, saves space and I can use all I can get, I have a TON of AB’s.

Bitrates should be left alone. When you start decreasing the quality suffers since things are compressed and left out.
When you start increasing, the quality also suffers. There is no way to make sound better. Increasing only adds dead space.
It works the same way with an image. No matter how big you bump up the resolution on a low pixel photo, it will get no better if you blow it up. In fact it will get worse.

Yeah, something went wrong with the encoding program, I will re-upload a better copy after I get done uploading “Mercury Rising” by Robert Kroese.
