Es läuft nicht gut für Nico Schnös, 47, den überforderten Controller mit der kaputten Brille. Warum gibt ihm seine Mutter seit dem Tod des Vaters täglich durch, was sie kocht und wie sie putzt? Als er bei einem Wutanfall eine Kaffeetasse auf den Finanzvorstand wirft, schickt sein Chef ihn in den Zwangsurlaub: Entweder Nico kommt entspannt zurück, oder er ist seinen Job los.

Der kanarische Ferienclub ist paradiesisch schön - doch sämtliche Entspannungsversuche gehen nach hinten los. Vielleicht hätte Nico nicht ausgerechnet seine hyperaktive Mutter mitnehmen sollen: “Eine Zimmerkarte reicht, mein Sohn und ich machen eh alles zusammen!” Bald schon ahnt Nico: Paradies und Hölle können sehr nah beieinander liegen.
